I'm sure there are dozens of stylists who have contacted Michelle Obama to offer their styling services. I've contacted the great lady myself, and I have no interest in being a stylist with only two exceptions - if the stylee is Jennifer Garner or Michelle Obama. I long to dress them. I absolutely adore Jennifer Garner and her adorable dimples and Michelle, well why wouldn't someone want to style the new lady of ladies?
So everyone is all a buzz about what Michelle O should wear for all the Inaugural festivities. Designers have released their sketches for the great lady and her charming daughters and of all the sketches, if I were her stylist, I would select Kai Milla's sketch (pictured) to present to the First Lady-elect. While I loved Lagerfeld's for Chanel and Lacroix's designs, two things: 1) They're not American and it is clear the First Lady-elect prefers American designers and 2) There is too much bravado in Lacroix's design and the First Couple is not about bravado and extravagance - fooey! It would have been so much more fun. They still may prove me wrong.
Kai Milla is an American designer, married to Stevie Wonder-the preferred artist of the Obamas (aha, yes?), and most importantly, her sketch is a gorgeous design fit for a soon to be First Lady.
I just can't wait to see what and who the First Lady-elect decides to be all elegance and grace in! For more on the designers' sketches, click here.
