I'VE SEEN DOZENS OF CELEBRITY closets - in magazines, television programs, celebrity profiles, etc. It's one of my favorite profiles to view. I scour the tiny photos of their shoes, play name that designer, but I never really have the desire to own their shoes. The closet, maybe, but never the shoes. Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Kimora Lee, Denise Richards, even Rachel Zoe although it was a short feature. I don't believe the few shoes that were photographed for Elle are all the shoes Rachel Zoe owns.
Celebrity closets always seem to be dozens and dozens of gold, strappy heels of every style imaginable. Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, and sometimes Casadei, to name a few, seem to be the commanders of such designs.
Then there are countless basic pumps - studded pumps, leopard pumps, electric blue pumps, red pumps, patent leather pumps. *yawn*
But, for the very first time, a profile of a celebrity shoe closet that has some personality and variety - Jessica Alba's closet. The closet itself is no Carrie-Bradshaw-dream-closet as I would imagine a celebrity would have (although, make no mistake, I would gladly take it), but the shoes ... I'm impressed. Notice how she's organized her shoes - one facing in and one facing out. Love it. You get to see the heel as well as the front. I like to peruse through my shoes from time to time so positioning them in this manner allows me, or anyone viewing the collection, to see the front of the shoe and the back.
You've got to get a close up of her shoes. Click here.
(I also love that she's a hat gal.)
