Co-founders Rand Niederhoffer and Camilla Gale conceived of Thistle & Clover as a home away from home. Stacks of beautifully wrought rings and bangles sit amidst vintage books and hand pressed note cards. The clothing is carefully hand picked from an exciting group of young, up-and-coming designers, such as Lorick, Rachel Comey, Eskell, Wren & Iro, that fit into Thistle & Clover’s unique and accessible aesthetic. The boutique owners bake freshly made pastries and sweets for their Sunday shoppers.

At Louis Vuitton’s superlative show last night, Marc Jacobs sited Victoire de Castellane as one of the ‘muses’ who inspired his collection. Be forewarned, you should get ready now for a lot of impending chatter on The Muse’s role in fashion. Anna Wintour’s Costume Institute Gala is quickly approaching and ‘Woman as Muse’ has been set as this year’s theme. Victoire, however, is not your run-of-the-mill Lee Miller on a pedestal.
